April 2025 Chimes
Pastor’s
Letter
April 2025
Dear siblings in Christ,
Holy Week invites us into the greatest mystery of our faith: the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a week filled with profound contrasts—joyful hosannas giving way to cries of "Crucify!", the intimacy of the Last Supper followed by betrayal, the desolation of the cross answered by the dawn of resurrection light.
Each year, we enter into this sacred time bringing with us our own burdens, griefs, and hopes. Perhaps this year, you are feeling the weight of sorrow or uncertainty, or maybe you come with a longing for renewal. Whatever you carry, Holy Week reminds us that Christ meets us in every moment—in triumph and in suffering, in silence and in song, in death and in the promise of new life.
As we walk this sacred path once more, I encourage you to enter fully into the story. Holy Week is not just a historical remembrance but a journey we take with Christ. In the solemnity of Maundy Thursday, we hear his command to love and receive his gift of himself in bread and wine. On Good Friday, we stand at the foot of the cross, reckoning with the depth of his sacrifice. And when Easter morning arrives, we rejoice in the victory that changes everything—Christ is risen indeed!
St. Paul’s will offer the following opportunities for worship during Holy Week:
• Palm Sunday: April 13, 10:00 am
• Maundy Thursday: April 17, 7:00 pm
• Good Friday: April 18, 7:00 pm
• Easter Sunday: April 20, 9:00 and 10:45 am
Each service invites us deeper into the mystery of God’s love, calling us to experience again the story that defines our faith. I pray that you will join us as we walk with Christ through the cross to the empty tomb.
May this Holy Week draw you closer to the heart of our Savior, and may the joy of Easter morning fill you with hope and new life.
In Christ,
Pastor Laura
